Why am I Not Writing More for Bukisa?

So I just realized that I have only two active articles on Bukisa. To be honest, I'm not really sure why I haven't written more articles for the site.

Though Bukisa doesn't seem to show a great PPM (pay per 1000 views), it does provide a great venue for writing many articles in a short amount of time and could turn out to be another decent money-maker.

Bukisa articles need only to be 250 words long and can be written on any topic. Like eHow, Bukisa's articles are simple to write and anyone can crank out quite a bit of content in a short amount of time. Though it would be tough to make decent money on Bukisa alone, it could help to add to my income from my other residual sites.

For this reason, I am going to try to increase my Bukisa articles over the next couple of months. I'm dedicating one day of the week solely to my writing and the rest will be primarily focused on jewelry. Hopefully by diversifying the sites I use, I will be able to make a more steady stream of monthly income.

My ultimate goal is to pay my mortgage solely from residual income. This will take pressure off of my jewelry business and will help when I have lean financial months. I'll try to keep everyone posted on my Bukisa experience. Hopefully I will have some good news to post.

  1. Hi, saw your blog on your Suite profile when I looked at your articles. I am a Suite person too! Anyways, I have had the worst luck with Bukisa as far as getting technical assistance to website glitches on the site. I am calling it a day with them and devoting the extra time to Suite. Just my experience, others could tell you different.

  2. Hi NCgirl,

Glad to meet a fellow Suite writer. I think you definitely have a point. It seems like the display of information is constantly changing there. Some days it shows I only have .01 in earnings. I also think my PVs are horrible there. However, I think that with articles requiring only 250 words, I can bust out quite a few in a short amount of time. My goal is to basically amass 100 and see what happens. It might not make me more than $10 a month, but at least that will add to my Suite Earnings. Good luck at Suite. I'll keep an eye out for your articles:)

  3. Hi,

I have been trying out Bukisa the past couple of months and what I've found is that although they have a higher PPM than AC does, views at Bukisa are not as easy to get. At AC, it isn't unusual to get 25+ views per day on each article, while at Bukisa, if I get 1 or 2 each day per article, I feel lucky. Have you noticed this?

  4. DeAnna,

I totally have noticed this as well. I also noticed what NC Girl complained about with the technical issues. It doesn't seem like the most stable site.

That said, I'm not planning on devoting a ton of time writing great articles for the site. I'm just going to bust out some high PV articles in quick fashion and hope that I see some return. I may regret it later but I'll never know if I never try.

Anyway, I wouldn't blame anyone else for dropping Bukisa until the site gets its act together. They definitely need some work.

    Happy Writing!!
